As part of Western Governors University, WGU Washington offers degree programs that are:
- Regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NCCU)—the same commission responsible for the accreditation of other regional institutions, including the University of Washington and Washington State University.
- Nationally accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).
- NCATE accredited. WGU Washington is proud to offer teaching degree programs approved by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). NCATE’s accreditation is recognized by the Department of Education and specializes in teacher preparation.
- CCNE accredited. Through Western Governors University, the bachelor’s and master’s programs at WGU Washington are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington DC 20036, 202-887-6791).
- CAHIIM accredited. WGU Washington’s Health Informatics program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
- CNSS certified. WGU Washington's Information Security and Assurance program has earned certification by the National Security Agency's Information Assurance Courseware Evaluation (IACE) Program.
